Look, I understand if you're skeptical.
Let me assure you, I know how that feels.
When I first discovered this business of copywriting, I had a hard time believing it too.
For instance, why would a company pay $10,000 for a simple 12-page letter?
But the more I looked into it, the more it made sense.
Think about it. If I owned a spa and I hired you to write a 12-page sales letter selling a special wrinkle treatment package for $295, and I mailed that letter to 5000 households...
... and that letter brought me 50 new customers (a conversion rate of only 1%), then my gross profit from that letter would be $14,750.
After I pay you, and mailing costs, maybe I only clear a couple grand. But now I have 50 new customers that I can sell other products and services to. Without any additional acquisition costs.
Also, consider this. Let's say that letter sold a monthly membership for wrinkle treatments. And to get the deal you had to maintain the membership for at least 3 months.
So, maybe the first month I only clear $2000. But look at the additional income I've practically guaranteed my business for at least the next two months!
Not only that, I can mail that same letter as many times as I want. As long as it continues to bring in business, I can continue to grow my customer base... and my bottom line... off that one letter!
Needless to say, once I understood the value of copywriting in the marketplace, I really got excited about learning copywriting for myself!
But I didn't have a clue where to start. I found some online courses, so I signed up for an Introduction to Copywriting course for $347. And it was an excellent course on copywriting basics, but I couldn't figure out what direction to go with it.
There were so many great opportunities that I soon got overwhelmed.
I ended up wasting a lot of time - and a lot of frustration - unnecessarily.
But I finally figured it out... and I'm so glad I did!
My first ghostwriting project? I made $7500... a basement level fee!
My first sales letter? $500/page... another basement level fee - and a total of $4000 for two weeks of work!
Not a bad return on a one-time investment of a few hundred dollars to learn a valuable and marketable skill that has turned into such a rewarding career.
Because once you learn the basics of how to write good copy, you can use this powerful skill to design a career path that is not only financially lucrative but incredibly satisfying as well!
Now, if you have no prior writing experience you may think copywriting would be really hard to learn. And that it would take too much time.
Granted. It could... depending on how you go about it.
Which is exactly why we're here.
I've been a self-employed freelance copywriter and information marketer and publisher since 2003... part-time at first, and then full-time for the last 5 years.
I know what it's like to be an employee with very little say-so and even less power.
And I know what it's like to be my own boss, work from home on my own terms doing what I love, scale my income at will, and be able to spend quality time with my spouse and kids... and friends.
But that's not enough.
What really drives me is helping other people figure out their own career path to success. A zero-risk way to walk away from a job that beats them down, robs them of their energy, their time, and sometimes even their health...
... into a business so uniquely their own that it doesn't even feel like work. Something that gives them their life back. That allows them to do what they love, while having both the time and the money to enjoy life with those they love the most.
Now I have no idea if this resonates with you or not...
... but if it does - if somewhere deep inside you there's a longing to follow your heart... your passion... and your dream - then you're the person I wrote this for.
It doesn't even matter if you can't see yourself becoming a successful writer right now.
All you need is a real desire to create a better life for you and your family, and you have an eye toward copywriting as the vehicle to get you there.
So, if you're still here... let's talk about the next step.
As I see it, you have two choices -
You can do what I did. Start looking around on the internet, collecting all the data you can, decide which course you think you should sign up for, and dive in.
And that may work for you. But I've already told you how challenging it was for me.
You know what I'm talking about. When you start collecting information from the internet, it's like dragging the ocean floor for treasures.
You will find some cool stuff, alright...
But you'll also collect a lot of throw-back. And you'll likely get bit in the process.
Even if you're lucky and you land a reputable program (and there are good ones out there)...
... it will take a lot of valuable time to do your own research... it will cost a lot more... and it won't be as "hands on" as what I'm about to offer you.
Now, let's talk about your other option.
Since beginning my copywriting journey 12 years ago, I've learned a LOT. I've collected a ton of resources. And I've studied the greats in the industry.
I've worked for a number of clients, and like most people in this business - I've made some mistakes, hit some home runs... and figured out some shortcuts along the way.
And now I want to share what I've learned with you.
I decided the best way to do that is by condensing everything down to a simple, 3-step process.
